The WordPress community theme
Reign is a WordPress theme for online community sites, $99/year or $249 lifetime. The features come from our own plugins, and almost all of them install free: members and activity, courses, forums, events, jobs, directories. Upgrade one plugin to Pro only when that part of your community grows.

"We migrated from Mighty Networks to Reign on WordPress. Took six weeks. Worth every hour - we own the data, members can pay through our own Stripe, and the design actually matches our brand."
Priya

FAQ
Reign is a WordPress theme that builds online community sites. You install it on your own WordPress site (any host) and add a community engine. Our own engine, BuddyNext, is free, and Reign also styles BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, and PeepSo if you already run one of those. Reign handles the design and the member-facing pages; the engine handles activity feeds, groups, messages, and profiles.
Yes - six live InstaWP demos are linked in the section above. Each launches a fresh WordPress sandbox in 30 seconds with Reign installed and one community platform (BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, PeepSo, Tutor LMS, Dokan, or WCFM) pre-configured. No signup, no email required. Sandbox is yours for 4 hours.
The theme is $99/year or $249 lifetime for one site, and that is the only thing you have to buy. Eleven of our own plugins install free, so a working community costs $99 in year one. If one part of it grows, that plugin has its own Pro plan from $59/year. Running a third-party stack instead, such as LearnDash or Dokan? The Reign add-ons that style those are $39/year each, and bundled kits start at $129/year. Full pricing at /pricing/.
No. The Reign Demo Installer, free with the theme, imports a full demo site in one click. Our plugins are styled by the theme out of the box, so there is no CSS to write. If you would rather not touch any of it, the $699 setup package has the Wbcom team install everything in 5 business days.
BuddyBoss Theme only works with the BuddyBoss Platform plugin and is annual-only. Reign is $99/year or $249 lifetime, works with our free BuddyNext engine as well as BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, and PeepSo, and the plugins that add courses, forums, events, and jobs are free rather than bundled into a subscription. Read the full comparison at /alternatives/buddyboss/.
Yes. Each platform has a documented migration walkthrough at /migrate-to-reign-from/. Member CSV export + content rebuild + Stripe billing migration. Typical 500-2000 member community migrates in 3-6 weeks.

A WordPress site on any host, a domain, and a community engine. BuddyNext is ours and free, which is the simplest place to start; BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, and PeepSo all work too. Reign installs as a standard WordPress theme: upload the ZIP through Appearance then Themes, activate the licence key, and the free Reign Demo Installer imports a full demo site in one click.
